This weeks Oracle spirit message.

Often times when cleansing our body on a cellular level emotions come up. Like I always say “your issues live in your tissues”.  during these times of deep tissue cleansing we must have empathy for ourselves and compassion for those around us who are dealing with our ups and downs during the detoxification process. I just shared a new article talking about the difference between compassion and empathy.

Everything shown above was grown organically in my garden! In fact, I’ve not went to the grocery in almost two months!

For the dressing on the salad, I wanted to keep it raw and light! Here is what I made! Feel free to share the recipe.

Andrea’s Raw Vegan Green Goddess Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup raw tahini
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon monk fruit sweetener
  • 3 tablespoons ​cold-pressed olive oil (or another neutral oil, such as flax)
  • 1/4 teaspoon kelp sprinkles
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley (minced)

Steps to Make It

  1. Gather the ingredients.
  2. Combine all ingredients, except parsley, in a blender or food processor, adding more or less liquid as needed. Add parsley and pulse until finely minced and well combined.
  3. Goddess dressing will thicken quite a bit in the fridge, so add a bit more liquid as needed! without shame or guilt! Enjoy without shame or guilt!

Getting You Back To GREAT Mental Health and Physical Health!

In these strange times we are living in we need to remind ourselves that in order to keep a state of high integrity high energy along with a positive mindset…

Raw Vegan Carrot Soup Recipe |Tips on How to Break a Fast

Hey Luv,

Lately I’ve been doing a lot of dry fasting, water fasting,  juice fasting and systematic under eating. I’ve been getting plenty of rest and trying to limit my favorite treats such as Raw Vegan chocolate and my delicious Raw Vegan gluten-free cookies to a minimum. I’ve pretty much been living off my herb garden and foods I find from foraging and by hitting a local underground farmers market.

Working with clients on a one on one basis via zoom and over the phone takes a lot of my energy. So does digestion. Therefore reserving my energy for helping you become healthier wealthier happier and more in tune with your intuition is where I desire my energy to flow. One of the most common questions I get is how do I break a fast”?

This is a great question that I LOVE answering! I’ll just bullet point a few facts below… 

Easing back into solid foods after fasting

Stay away from processed foods and fast food! After a fast it is always important to ease back into eating solid foods.  This doesn’t mean to go out and get some fast food and eat it slowly, if you do, it will be a very unpleasant experience and not at all beneficial to your health. If you are like many people in today’s society who are woke, you simply have never or would never indulge in fast foods knowing the facts that are out there today. 

Focus on eating fruits I find what works best for both myself and my clients is to eat some of the lighter fruits, like apples or melons (melons are FABULOUS after fasting)! Just be certain to eat enough to produce a bowel movement within thirty minutes.  

Only eat until you are almost full. You will know you have eaten enough within the first 10-20 minutes because your stomach will feel full. Make sure you chew your food thoroughly. This allows your digestive system to work slowly, allowing your saliva to saturate each bite. This entire process allows the enzymes in your saliva called amylase, (also in fruits and vegetables) to break down carbohydrates into simple sugars.

Don’t eat until you are hungry! Tuning into our bodies can be difficult. This is where meditation, yoga and just plain old mindfulness come into play. 

Chew your food thoroughly Masticating your food into the tiniest parts, saturating them with your saliva, making digestion efficient and easy on your body. I like to say we should chew our juices and juice our food”. Meditate on that and there will be more in tomorrow’s newsletter.

Place the following ingredients in a blender or vitamix and blend. 
 
* 34 oz carrot juice
* 1 avocado
* 1 clove garlic (optional)
* 4-6 dates pitted
* 1 whole carrot

A Healers Mission

Ever dealt with one of these?

As a healer, you can have other people in life (clients, past relationship partners and random acquaintances) who latch onto you. ‬

‪It’s like a toddler who smacks a baby in the face and feels they need to be picked up and coddled by you. It’s a person who gets joy out of poor behavior and then points their poor behavior as judgments towards you because you refuse to give them the nipple.

‪This type of behavioral disability in another is a pattern I have noticed appearing in my life for a bit too long. A pattern from distant relationship partners that I have not even thought about in years. A pattern from Acquaintances who were interested in me whom I had helped heal of their personal issues but had no interest in on a personal level.

A pattern with both men and women who felt an online connection with me because of what I did for a living and felt I somehow should be obligated to respond to every comment, private message and e-mail.

At times I felt as though I was the mother Theresa of Gaia. The healer of the ages. Some type of raw food relationship guru responsible for the entire worlds weight gain and break ups.

Over the past year I learned of a person who spent YEARS attempting to ruin my online standing with Google. This person actually linked thousands of my recipe videos to horrific pornographic sites. The thing is I’ve known this person hasn’t liked me for a very long time but I just allowed the situation to play out instead of ever taking a legal stance. This person has interfered with every relationship partner I’ve had over the past eight years. He’s sent random emails and messages to almost every friend, connection or partner I’ve had. He’s even tried to get me removed from a home I’ve lived in for 7 years.

But recently things took a turn. A new group of supporting loving people and one man in particular encouraged me to do more than take a legal stance. They encouraged me to fight back by growing bigger and better than ever before. They are teaching me to rise above.

It’s funny, how these synchronicity’s work. I’ve put on 15 pounds over the past four months intentionally with

Lifting

Yoga

Pilates

Prayer

Meditation

Eating abundant raw living foods

All things I’ve done for over 20 years but this time this weight gain came with a mission attached. A mission to build my body and strength so that I could put an end to an unspoken war with a person that felt like every time I was beginning to fly I need to be pulled back down.

Today I’m asking for prayers. As I Illuminate and eliminate this stressful situation from my life completely by bringing a much needed end to this almost decade long chain of online bullying, hacking and abuse.

Maybe I’m an oddball but my heart fills with joy as I see others accomplishments. It actually fills me up. I can’t imagine why another human would want to pull anyone down.

How to Make a Quick Anti-aging Energy Boosting Tonic~Your weekly mojo!

Mmmm! What am I drinking on this beautiful Sunday morning? What do I drink every morning? Delicious antioxidant packed, anti-aging Matcha tea! I feel that I owe a huge part of my skin health to drinking this tea daily for the last decade!

And rightfully so! Just look at all of the health properties in matcha!

1) Sustained energy for a minimum of 4 hours!

2) 10 times more antioxidants than other teas!

3) It’s anti aging!

So how do I make this into a POWERHOUSE anti aging tonic? I mix it with other anti agers in a tonic!

First off lets talk Brands! I prefer the following!

Now, lets talk concoctions! Here is my anti-aging beauty recipe! 

2 tsp (Japanese tsp) of Matcha (always organic)!

Let me tell you that you will be flying by the seat of your pants all day long on this tonic! I go from a run to the gym to yoga write books, make love and then read a novel after drinking this baby! Not to mention HAVE YOU SEEN MY SKIN LATELY? I don’t want to boast but JEESH! People are telling me that I’mGLOWING! Alright, go get on it and hey, be sure and tell each company where you learned about them from and NO I’m not paid for any of this! I just LOVE their products!

I did my first solo headstand!

Always believe in yourself knowing “as you think, you will become”! Yesterday was a tough day for me! What started off as a positive ended up as one of the worst days ever. Still, I managed to force myself to go to yoga. My mind needed an escape from the endless chatter going on around me.

Head stands are NOT my strong suit! I have what is called a reverse cervical spine. Basically it means my neck is bent almost in the opposite direction. This happened after a severe car accident a few years back when my head hit the windshield. I have no scars no visible injuries and so to the average person I look normal. But when my neck goes out I’m down for days. And doing a headstand just isn’t always the best thing for a reverse cervical. That being said a few years back I met a fellow Yogi who had mastered his headstands and he too had a reverse cervical! His was much worse than mine. This motivated me to know that this was all in my mind that I couldn’t do this… This headstand thing. 

Yesterday after class I asked Tracy one of the owners of the yoga studio I go to Yoga Tropics to help me. To be honest with you other than a photo shoot about a month ago I’ve never been able to do it on my own. She tried to teach me how to do it just by putting my head down first and then allowing my body to lift itself up feeling weightless. She then tried to show me a second method when I failed at the first. I’m not sure but I think she could tell that I had a weak neck and upper arm strength. She placed the blocks under my shoulders and I was off and running!

I cried the entire way home. And although I didn’t return home to loving open arms, smiling faces and friendly chatter I will say that yesterday’s accomplishments has me motivated to build my upper arm strength and to see a chiropractor on a more regular basis to get my neck back in the best shape possible. 

To finish, complete and to succeed! They really are the only things I know how to do! No other way is acceptable! SO MANY have much worse injuries than mine! Once you see someone who cannot walk, stand or jump…. There aren’t any excuses! I truly believe ALL of us can do and create AMAZING things…ONLY if we believe we can! Remembering that as we think, we will become!

NEW~ 6 Tips On How To Eat Out & Stay Healthy!

This will be a bit longer than my usual news letter but shouldn’t take more than 2 minutes of your time to read! 

I would like to first explain why I didn’t send out a “Black Friday offer”. I do that in the short video at the bottom of this E-mail:) It’s worth watching because I also show you how to get my flat tummy I’m showing off in the video!

EATING OUT & STAYING ON TRACK!

For years after becoming a raw vegan I refused to eat out at restaurants. In fact, I wouldn’t date anyone for almost 7 years due to the fact that I didn’t want to be embarrassed of not being able to eat out. Although I still prefer to eat my own food for taste, health & knowing the source of the produce, I have definitely learned how to enjoy life out of my kitchen!

Eating out at a “normal restaurant” does NOT have to be the end of your healthy way of life. You don’t have to throw in the towel because you had a meal that is outside of your organic raw or vegan kitchen! During the past year I have traveled more than I ever have in my entire life. I am eating out at countless restaurants Both vegan & non vegan. I must say that the biggest misconception is that you have to stay home once you become a vegan, raw foodist or simply a clean eater. I’m here to remind all of you that you don’t have to give up your social life & stay within the parameters of your healthy kitchen to stay healthy.

Above is a photo of me at dinner last night at Veladora restaurant. Veladora is not a vegan restaurant & though I try not to frequent or contribute to restaurants that are aren’t 100% vegan my boyfriend had asked me to go & I accepted. I have a passion for interior design and have always loved the decor there & he knows this:)

I started off with the salad and asked the waiter to not put any oil on it. I had him place heirloom tomatoes fresh greens and avocado on a plate. He brought out a side of olive oil sea salt and apple cider vinegar and even brought me extra spinach when I told him that the salad was half the size I usually eat:)

I followed my salad with this lovely plate of a variety of steamed mushrooms and beets! The restaurant buys from a local farmer who has exquisite produce! Knowing this, I knew that the mushrooms and beets would be phenomenal! To finish the meal I had a sip of my boyfriends expresso and I always always always bring my own dessert! I had brought chocolate chip gluten free vegan cookies.

MY TOP FIVE TIPS ON HOW TO EAT OUT WHILE STAYING HEALTHY!

1) Remember that eating out should be fun! Oh and guess what, It’s not ONLY about the food! Dining out is also about the companionship of being around others!

2) Make sure the restaurant is organic! At least you know you are dining at an establishment that cares about their patrons! I would never dine at any restaurant that wasn’t organic, nor should you!

3) Call the chef ahead of time! When we arrived last night I already knew what I wanted! Why? Because I called ahead and knew what the chef had on hand! Chefs are ALWAYS willing to speak to anyone coming in to eat in their restaurant! Let them know you are coming and have a few special dietary requirements! It’s your money~you deserve to be accommodated! 

4) Take your own after dinner treats! This is a MUST for you to stay on track! Think dark chocolate or vegan gluten free cookies! My purse always smells like dessert goodness!

 5) Find someone who loves you enough to not only accept your “different” way of life but who will also LOVE & APPRECIATE the healthy lifestyle that you bring to the table! And for God’s sake get out of your kitchen!

6) Be sure and eat a healthy breakfast and lunch prior to dining out for dinner! This way you’re less likely to make a poor decision! Here is what I had prior to heading out (below)!

Detox pancake recipe & a success story!

Hi there beauties:) So I’m here in Mexico (again) and I just got done running an AMAZING VIP detox for a stunningly beautiful woman named Minerva! Minerva was Hands down one of my absolute favorite clients to ever do my detox program! “Today I had a VIP guest fly in from Texas to do a three day detox here in San Diego. As I went to greet her at the resort, I was a bit nervous. The truth is, as I’ve been speaking to her on the phone the past few months she reminded me a lot of myself. I’m not exactly easy to please and was beginning to fear if I would live up to her expectations.

I spent about an hour and a half with her and then returned this evening to teach her class. Within minutes she opened up to me and invited me to open up to her. Much like the last guest I had a month ago…I fell in love with her kind loving heart! Not only is she beautiful on the outside but also on the inside too!

On the drive home I began thinking “yes…we are a lot a like!” We are both “high maintinance women” with HUGE giving, loving honest hearts! Heck I’m proud to call myself “HM” for the first time in my life! To me high maintenance only means you demand people give you their very best and do the same for others! I’ll take that title ANY day of the week!

Today was a beautiful day of two women from different cultures, different up bringing and different lives coming together to share, love and to heal!

 I am forever blessed to be able to LOVE what I do!”



 

A divine salad recipe! VEGAN and NON VEGAN PANCAKE RECIPES! YUM!

 
So here I am “chill~axing” in Mexico and I thought hmmm what would the beautiful friends at the Healthy Haven like to see this week? Then it hit me…some easy to digest recipes! Enjoy these favorites below!
 
Curry tofu with dried fruit and seeds!
1/2 C pineapple
1/3 C dried cranberries
1 of Andrea’s “sticky balls” (dates, walnuts, sunflower and pumpkin seeds rolled into balls and dusted in dried coconut)
1/2 C hemp (soy free) tofu
1 tsp turmeric
1TB curry powder
1 TB hemp seeds
 
Combine tofu with curry, coconut oil and turmeric set aside.
cover a large plate with raw spinach, break up Andrea’s sticky ball, add pineapple and dried cranberries place curried tofu on top and add hemp seeds! BOOM! Enjoy without shame or guilt!

Five tips to have your BEST day ever!

Hi there beautiful!

WOW! What a powerful love and fun filled week! I’ll be sending you my “week in review” along with an AMAZING recipe for vegan pumpkin chocolate chip cookies tomorrow! Until then I wanted to share with all of you why today was one of the absolute BEST days of my life!!!

Last week my loving sweetheart of a man AKA “the man-pan-ion” went dirt bike riding with his son and friends out in Mexico! Apparently they were taken to this stunningly beautiful meadow that he thought would be perfect for us to hike at! Today he woke me early to take me there. He even made my “special coffee mixture” for my coffee enema:) Now thats a man no detox Queen could ever resist!  

Somehow he managed to talk me out of my morning exercise routine (a first)! Apparently he knew we would get lost and end up walking for well over two hours:) To be honest with you, I was happy we did “lose our vehicle”! It was honestly the most stunning place I’ve ever been! 

Hike!

Prior to leaving I made sure to pack plenty of lemon water with one of my favorite essential oil drops inside! I also slathered a mixture of coconut oil mixed with lavender essential oil all over my body so I wouldn’t get eaten by mosquitoes. They both worked like a charm! I also packed plenty of green juice and a few bananas! Although the “nannas” got mushed, I was glad I took them:)

After our hike we stopped for fresh coconuts and then had a couples massage♡♡♡ We then headed home for my loves favorite pastime, watching the sun set over the ocean off of the deck! I love the effort he is putting forth everyday to be the absolute BEST partner he can be! nl7

This day was extremely special to me! To be honest, the entire weekend was! My favorite moment was when we were walking to get our massages. My shoe came un tied. As he squatted down to tie it my heart filled with more love than I’ve ever felt for another. I love this life, I love this man and I love the possibilities♡♡♡

I have to say that leaving our cell phones OFF was a HUGE plus! Although we did stop to take a few photos, both of us together & of the beauty of nature in its entirety! Having a cell phone free day to “just be”!

1) Start the day with prayer and or meditation!

When is the last time you woke up and before you opened your eyes you said a prayer? Meditated lately? I know these two things may seem like they’ve been beaten into us by a sledge hammer but they actually have been proven to be HIGHLY effective in relieving stress! For me, yoga is like a moving meditation! I also think that having one on one conversations with God will never grow old!

2) Move your body!

Move it or lose it! Turns out this is true! The more you move, the more you will be in touch with your body, your muscles and your spirit! Not only is moving the body great for the lymphatic system but its also STELLAR for the mind! Hows that for a BEST day ever BONUS! nl1

3) Alkaline your system with fresh pressed vegetable juice!

There is no better way to alkaline the body than to feed it fresh pressed juice! It goes into the blood stream within 15 minutes! Tell that to your smoothie friends!

4) Get out in nature!

Fresh air really is the best remedy for anything! The air I breathed in today filled my lungs with SO MUCH JOY! With the constant bombardment of smog and pollution try your very best to find a place to run, hike or walk with clean air! You’ll be glad you did!

5) Leave your cell phone, social media and computer behind!

Yes, yes and yes! Please trust me on this one! You’ll be SO happy you did!

Five recipes with less than five ingredients! Bonus video recipe!

Never underestimate the simple things in life! Some of my most enjoyable meals have been created in my kitchen with less than five ingredients! Enjoy a few of my favorites below! One I placed in video format for you!

The nanna salad

Have you tried this combination? It’s a combination of celery and banana together! The saltiness from the celery mixed with the sweetness of banana has proven to be so incredibly delightful to me and many others! Plate your plate with spinach, slice two bananas on top making sure they are spotted to ensure ripeness! Chop two stalks of celery on top as well and finish with a drizzle of raw honey:) Devour without shame or guilt! One of my go to treats!

Berries, coconut creme and cinni:) 

Take a bowl of berries, top with a dollop or two of coconut creme and sprinkle with cinni!

An excellent go to snack! 3 ingredients! 

3 pitted Dates

3 Brazil nuts

Ayurvedic herbs ordered from the Chopra center! 

Stuff the dates with the Brazil nuts after rolling in the herbs! Bliss on Earth!Date Sammy

 


Sour cream “taters”

Ahhh Baby red taters topped with raw vegan coconut sour creme and fresh dill from Pablo, my local farmer!

8-10 taters depending on how many people you are serving

1 bunch fresh dill (toss the stems)

1 container So Delicious brand coconut yogurt (or make your own)

salt and pepper to taste!

Steam the washed taters for 20 minutes top with other ingredients listed above and enjoy!

Ahhhh the workouts! I’m hitting it but not to my FULL potential! The truth is, I know exactly where I want to be! I also know the dedication it will take to get there! Pre yoga brunch! Omega 3 packed heart healthy avocado salad with baby lettuce that my farmer just brought me!

What a great Sunday! What a fantastic man~pan~ion I have!!!

This man is so kind, loving and incredibly gorgeous! Yesterday I was treated to a “Andrea day!” My beautiful loving boyfriend spent the morning organizing my disgusting messy garage and then treated me to my favorite raw vegan restaurant in Orange County!

In return, I allowed him to listen to the Warriors game the entire drive 🙂 I’m also creating a tonic formula for him to drink daily to repair his stressed out adrenal glands! 
Relationships are a two way street! You have to give in order to get and if you take too much it doesn’t feel balanced! I love that this man is teaching me how to give more everyday! ♡♡♡ Love you to the moon and back baby!

Taking time to explore a beautiful part of California and myself! My stay at San Ysidro Ranch.

I decided to break away for the first part of the week! I wanted to go somewhere to explore, clear my head and be with self! I called the sitter for my husband with fur and off I went! Armed with cold press juice and a few brown paper bags of fruit I knew this was going to be a grand adventure! The highlights….I met an artist who asked to paint me, I let him! I meditated every morning in a lavender field! I let go of the gym and it served me! I treated myself to a bath in the bathtub below every morning and every night! PURE AND UTTER BLISS I TELL YOU!

My exercise routine consisted of walking through lavender fields! I then filled this claw foot tub with lavender I collected on my walk and essential oil of ylang ylang! 

Looking at the beauty that nature provides is the first step in purifying the mind! Bring that nature indoors and you have the chance to experience new charm! I realized during my stay that by not slowing down I’ve been renouncing all that is great in the pursuit of all that is meaningless!

A small way that we can all give back to mother Earth

Recycling is so very important in today’s world! We live in a wasteful society. This canning jar goes with me wherever I go. I like to think of her as my little baby that travels with me everywhere.

Today my little baby is visiting Santa Barbara. More often than not I take more than one baby with me. sometimes it’s a recycled spaghetti jar and other times I recycle a jar that contained tahini or nut butter in it. No matter what they all get recycled and become unique “stemware”!

On any given day in my home you can see canning jars lined up in the windowsill. I use them to sprout, to drink out of, and to soak my nuts and seeds in. I also rinse them out instead of using the dishwasher. It saves water and we all know that we can use more water in California!

To you this may seem tedious…like it doesn’t do any good. I believe at the end of the day small changes like this can change the future for our children growing up on Earth! I have a 10 year old nephew and I don’t want him walking around in a sea of trash!Do you really want to drink out of plastic anyway? Plastic leaches chemicals into our bodies and they are hard to detox from!

It feels good to be back home! I missed my lil “husband with fur”! Now I get to have my leftovers from Aulac!!! Im eating Chef Ito’s “sweet & sour” soup while getting my vitamin D! Nothing quite like sleeping in your own bed on fresh clean sheets after enjoying a few days away! Traveling even for a short distance makes you appreciate all the comforts of home!
