Tips for visiting your local Asian market!

Are you scared to visit your local Asian market? Don’t be!

Hey everyone! So II wanted to share with you three simple tips on shopping at your local Asian market! I think you’ll find that it can be quite the delicious experience!

TIP#1 DON’T BE SCARED TO TRY SOMETHING NEW!
You will find interesting vegetables and fruit at your Asian market! A few of my favorites are Durian fruit, jack fruit and bamboo shoots! Don’t be afraid to try these healthy foods and introduce them to your family! They are both delicious and FULL of nutrients!

Tip#2 READ LABELS CAREFULLY AND WASH EVERYTHING!
Lets face it folks this stuff is coming from another Country! It’s important to read the labels for things like soy and to thoroughly wash ALL produce before consuming!

Tip#3 BRING A HAND TOWEL FOR YOUR CART!
YEP! You heard me right! Most Asian markets seem to be Universally dirty! I don’t have a clue as to why this is but Ive been in them in Ohio, San Diego and Orange County and they were all filthy! My advice is to bring a wet towel and wipe out the entire cart or simply bring your own recycled bags to use in the cart.

Here are just  few of my favorite finds at my local Asian market!
Asian Pears
Dragon fruit
Jack fruit (not a huge fan)
Durian (my favorite)
young coconuts
Lychees
Bamboo shoots
